Description

Mouse Knitting Pattern: Catnip Cat Toy with Curly Tail
Quick and easy cat toy perfect for using up those bits and pieces of leftover yarn. Mouse is knit flat, then seamed and stuffed. You can knit the mouse in any yarn you like- just make sure your stitches are tight so the stuffing doesn’t fall out. There are two versions- rounded nose or pointed.
Level
Beginner to Intermediate level- knit, decrease, pick up stitches, seam, I-cord or crochet for tail

Size
2.5 inches/ 6.3 cm long by 1 inch/ 2.5 cm wide after stuffing, not including tail

Yarn
20 yards/ 18 meters dk or worsted weight yarn

This is perfect for leftover bits of yarn from other projects- I used some hand dyed yarn and a teeny tiny ball of leftover Silky Wool.

Materials
-US 4/3.5 mm knitting needles (straight, circular, or two double pointed needles is fine) or size to get gauge
-Tapestry needle
-Small amount of stuffing (wool, fiberfill, a cotton ball or two, or bits of leftover yarn all work well)
-Catnip (optional)
-US #4/3.5 mm crochet hook (optional)

Gauge
5 stitches and 8 rows per inch in garter stitch [1 inch = 2.54 cm]
