Ustica, December 1975. Hugo and Rose are hiding from the law on this little island north of Sicily. Hugo, a police inspector for the Marseille police, has fallen in love with Rose, who besides being a chemist for the drug mafia is a woman tortured by memories and visions from a past life. Rose claims to be Milos, a brilliant surgeon from Prague who, in 1900, proposed a method for transplanting parts of the brain.
